Dolphins sign Tyrone Culver to contract extension
The PBP learned that safety Tyrone Culver signed a two year contract extension last month - a deal that will keep Culver in Miami through 2011. The new deal will pay Culver $1.1 million in 2010 and $1.25 million in 2011.
Culver is an excellent special teams player and saw a lot of action as the team’s third safety last year in passing situations. He and rookie Chris Clemons will likely be Miami’s two backup safeties in 2009.
